What to check before ordering a LiDAR

Field of view, near range and navigation.

For engineers and technical buyers

01 · Define the requirement

Sketch the field of view at the actual mounting height. Check the near-field blind zone, sensor mass and point-processing budget alongside the navigation software.

02 · Selection Criteria

Choose the inference toolchain before comparing throughput. Confirm memory, model conversion, operating system and I/O; a TOPS figure alone does not prove application performance.

03 · Verify before ordering

Match the protection rating and installation conditions to the site. Check connectors, cable protection, mounting, cooling and battery transport separately.
